Hello to Our Friends of the Box “R” Ranch
we have been so negligent in contacting many of our friends during
the Christmas and New Year’s Holidays. I hope this finds each of you
in good health and looking forward to a great 2014. Sometimes
circumstances and situations can cloud the future and our pleasant
thoughts and memories with uncertainty. I hope that’s not the case
Robin and I moved
to our winter home near Pavillion, WY. in late October. The Box “R”
Ranch was pelted with a heavy fall snow storm about November 25th
and we had to plow the road to remove our few remaining personal
horses in early December. Our surrogate son Randy Miller just began
recovery from surgery for removal of a very serious Cerebral
Hematoma at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center on January 29th.
Past wrangler Tyler Meeks also called to tell us that he and
beautiful Libby O’Flaherty will be getting married this spring. More
news to come, I’m sure. Drop me an email if you need their phone
numbers, an address or email.
"Another Long Lasting Look"
Many of you in the
Midwest and New England have had a much more severe winter than we
here in Wyoming. The Southeast has been drowning in rain and
California and the states to our west are in a dreadfully serious
drought. My prayers are with those of you who have been so displaced
and damaged by these abnormal, if not unusual, weather extremes from
the central states to through Northeast.
In the spring of
2014, we will be offering the Box “R” Guest Ranch facilities for
sale, as a ready-to-open guest ranch facility. The property that
might be included will range from 76 acres of guest facilities with
long term leases or purchase options on adjoining facilities and
grazing lands, to an all-inclusive 656 acre parcel of improvements,
lush meadows and mountainous grazing lands. Either option will
include our valuable and age-old U.S. Forest and Wilderness
Commercial Use and Horse Grazing Permits. This could easily be one
of the most unique and promising investment opportunities available
in the Rocky Mountain West. Those of you who have been here already
know how fantastic some of these amenities are at the Lozier’s Box
“R” Ranch. An online brochure of the area and adventures along with
pictures, maps and videos are still available at www.boxr.com.
Defining plats and a Business Prospectus will also be available on
the website within the next few months.
"Ready For Another Day"
We have chosen to refer our previous guests and are asking
them to consider the
Lazy L & B Ranch near Dubois, Wyoming,
for their next guest ranch vacation. Their website is
We have chosen the Lazy L & B for several reasons. This is a small
family operated ranch on the East Fork of the Wind River just east
of Dubois, about 80 miles from Jackson Hole and Yellowstone Park,
and just 1 hour northeast of Riverton, Wyoming and RWY airport.
We are delighted to report that
the L & B is owned and operated by a young, vivacious, warmhearted
family, Jason and Deb Halmay and their children. It resembles the
Lozier’s Box “R” Ranch in many ways and Jason and Deb are eager to
find and serve a clientele similar to those of you who have visited
the Lozier’s Box “R” Ranch. We feel that Jason and Deb will make
every effort do everything possible to make your stay as original
and enjoyable as we did at the Box “R” Ranch. If you long for
another great ranch vacation, please give Jason and Deb a call at
We also have
several very attractive 40-60 acre homesite parcels that border the
National Forest or straddle Willow Creek, each with pre-designed
home-sites that maximize scenic vistas and location without visual
contact with any of your neighbors. If investment or retirement is
in your future, you should inquire for plats, prices and other
and fishing opportunities are literally right out your back door.

through November. Water Fowl, Upland Game Birds and other species

trips can place you or your family’s tent right beside numerous
trout filled lakes and streams. Over 15 fishing lakes and five
varieties of trout are within a day’s ride of the Box “R” Ranch’s

ponds. Seven mile long trout filled Willow Lake and trolling for

Secluded shoreline fishing for Rainbow, German Brown, Cutthroat and
