Guest Comments about Their Stay at
Lozier's Box "R" Ranch

Irv,

Over the past two weeks I have attempted numerous times to find the words that express my feelings about your little piece of heaven. I guess they don't exist. After being there five years in a row, taking five years off, and returning for my 6th visit, I still love every minute of it. The Elite Week was outstanding. I have already talked to Terri and starting plans for the second Elite Week next year.

The smile on my face for getting the opportunity to ride Holly will never go away. Why you let me ride her I don't know but thank you, thank you, thank you. What an awesome ride. Even tho I won the barrels on her the cutting moves were the best. If you ever decide to have a week of 'down the fence' work, I will be the first there and the last to leave. And thanks to others I have pictures riding her.

The wranglers were great. The Elite Week gives you the opportunity to actually work with them. Each and everyone of them, including Patrick, were very helpful when ask questions and also giving suggestions. I had a lot of fun being around them. I felt a little guilty about abandoning Peppy, but you made an offer I couldn't turn down. I'd still like to spend time just working with him. He has good turns. I just couldn't find his 'go fast' button.

It was nice to meet Jennifer. I'd been hearing about her for a few years. If she ever gets tired of horses she can turn to singing. What a voice she has. Thanks to Cory's sing along I enjoyed listening to Cory, John, and Jen sing and play.

I don't want this to turn into a book but wanted to let you know I had another wonderful week at the Box R.

thanks to everyone,

Bev Cederholm

I think this is our fifth visit to the Box R. We have traveled a lot recently but we have not found anything that compares to the peaceful, easy going atmosphere here at the Box "R". Both of us really enjoy the wide variety of privileges we get to share with you and your crew. We had such a great time and such a wonderful group on the Spring Cowboy Camp, we'd like a reservation for the same week and same cabin for next year. L. & B. Walters, Geneseo,IL

I've just gotten home and already I miss my Box "R" family. Words cannot express how much I enjoy my visits to the ranch. As always, you were a gracious and entertaining host, and the crew was friendly and accommodating. Once again new folks were met and within the week began to feel like family members. I found it very difficult to pack my bags and leave the ranch, and to say goodbye to everyone. W. J., Wakefield, VA

Some places don't stand up to a second or third visit. The Box "R" is one that does. Erin and I shared the same cabin as last year, it was like coming home! Just when we thought we'd done it all, another awesome view opened before us, another crew member did something special, some stranger became a friend. Your confidence in allowing us some time to explore on our own really made us feel like this is our home. M. & E. Lohr, Orlando, FL

Please accept my heartfelt thanks and appreciation for the wonderful time I had at the Box "R" last week. As an educator, I pride myself on my ability to clearly express my thoughts and ideas in writing but I must confess that I do not possess the vocabulary that would be required to adequately state what my time at the ranch meant to me over the years. I can't wait to get back to Wyoming so that I can see you again. It can't be soon enough. M. Chase, Baltimore, MD

Hi all;

Just wanted to take a moment to let everyone know how much we enjoyed spending the week with all of you, we had such a nice time getting to visit and make new friends with you. I hope everyone had a safe flight home. We are looking to book another trip either next year or the year after. This was far beyond our expectations; we had more fun with all of you than we’ve ever had on vacation before. Somehow getting up at 3:30am didn’t seem like a chore as it does for our jobs here. Especially when you get to see such beautiful country every day. Isn’t that right David? Ha Ha

Anyway, I hope this finds all of you well and hope to see you all again some day.

Take Care,

E. & P. B., Port Washington, Wi.

Dear Irv, I've just gotten home and already I miss my Box "R" family.

I think the highlight of the trip this year was our time spent with the Pearson family, 4 generations, happily working together and allowing us the honor of helping them. It brought tears to my eyes to see the enthusiasm of the children and just to be in their company. The world would be such a better place if more children were raised in the manner that they have been. Please let the Pearsons know how deeply the experience affected most of us!

I will be back next year, as soon as the "East Coast Menopause Club" can check their schedules and decide when we can all get together, you will receive my reservation. I am fervently hoping that the Box "R" continues to be "my" little piece of paradise. Please keep us updated! Best wishes to you Irv, and your wonderful crew. Sincere and fondest regards, W. J., Wakefield, VA

Hey there . . . Well, I’m back at work this morning. Thinking about all of you and missing the ranch, the drift, and the cool mountain air. I keep looking at the clock and thinking about what we would be doing if we were there. We Michiganders sort of faded out quietly at the campfire Saturday night. Please let everyone know I had a wonderful time and thank you all very much for making my time at the Box R a very rewarding and memorable event. .

You guys have a really great operation going there and I hope the future of the Box "R" is a healthy one. I would really like to come back and participate in one of the fall round-ups. I’ve been bitten by the bug and Wyoming and the Box "R" folks all have found a place in my heart. Have a great summer and play with Henry’s mustache once in a while just to irritate him and remind him of that old lady from Michigan. L.S., Flint, MI

Dear Irv and All Our friends at the Box "R",

Erin and I think of each and all of you everyday. We met about 40 people in our two weeks at the Box "R", all of whom love horses and the West or the peace and quite of the of WY. Some places don't stand up to a second or third visit. The Box "R" is one that does. Erin and I shared the same cabin as last year, it was like coming home! Just when we thought we'd done it all, another awesome view opened before us, another crew member done something special, some stranger became a friend. Your confidence in allowing us some time to explore on our own really made us feel like this is our home.

I had a priceless experience with my daughter Erin and lots of new and interesting people. We had time to sit and listen to the quiet, the noises of the horses grazing nearby and the wind in the trees. It was fabulous being at the Box "R" for two weeks. The crew took great care of us, were all patient and kind, answered our questions, shared our meals, corrected our errors and did it all with smiles on their faces. I'll try to get some photos off to you before you all leave. Thanks for everything. Here's our deposit to hold room for us next summer. M. & L. E., Orlando, Florida.

Irv, I just wanted to tell you Thank You for the best vacation that Kim and I have ever had. The Box "R" is exactly what your literature says it is. It is the "Real Deal". Kim and I have taken a lot of adventure vacations of all kinds in many countries. This one is the absolute best. Kim has ridden more and much longer than I, but it felt so good to be in complete control and enjoy loping "all out" across the meadow on Friday. Moving 950 cattle with Bob and Gina at the Mosquito Lake cow camp was one of many highlights of our visit. Our trip to the high country with Pat and a little fresh snow was very special. We hate to leave. I know now why Carl Rungius liked it here. Please stop and see us when you get down our way. M. & K. E., Cayucos by the Sea, CA.

Dear Lozier Crew, My recent round-up vacation at your ranch was far beyond my expectations! I will forever remember galloping across the mesa at sunrise, breathing the cool, fresh air and feeling totally at peace with the surrounding mountains. The Lozier staff made me fell like I was a part of the true west - a “real” cowboy. The hospitality and food at the ranch were beyond reproach. After a full day in the saddle, we were well rewarded with the fabulous grub back at the ranch. The evenings were filled with cowboy poetry, a little libation and a few “tall tales.” I wish to thank all of you at the Box "R" Ranch for making it a true cowboy experience. I look forward to our trails crossing again next year. Sincerely, M. C.,  Athens, OH

Irv and All My Box "R" family - I trust all is well at the Box R, the drift should be completed, Big Piney rodeo and the fireworks of the fourth over and Rendezvous in full swing. Despite all this hustle and bustle all will remain peaceful along Willow Creek. Missing those cool mountain mornings, the whinnies of the horses in the meadow, sunrises and sunsets, big blue skies, smell of the sage after the afternoon rain and the soothing sound of the curlew snipe as dusk falls. Missing those morning cattle drives with the mist over the Upper Green River valley and the towering peaks of the Winds, cool air breaking to sun and Bonita’s friskiness subsiding as the work and the day continues. Irv, thank you for the many memorable opportunities and for always making that special effort to give each of us that true experience that demonstrates the true passion of the Box "R", something that makes us want to return time after time. Thank you for always making us feel part of a very special family. Warmest regards, D. C., Louisville, KY

Dear Irv & your Wonderful Crew, Thank you so very much for enabling me to replenishmy spirit, in my beloved Wyoming. From the moment I turned down your gravel-dirt road, to riding this evening under that “Big Wyoming August Moon,” I have been filled with gratitude, wonderment, awe and immense joy. I am so blessed with such abundance. Thank you very, very much for being a great part of the friendship, carte and happiness I have enjoyed this past week. Friendship and Peace to each of you, S. N. , San Luis Obispo, CA

I am finally back at work after spending a wonderful week at the Box R Ranch and having a tough time focusing on the job. I can hardly wait to return for another visit. I enjoyed this vacation very much and can not find a single thing to criticize. The hospitality from the crew, the food, the accommodations and service, the instruction and patience shown by the wranglers, and a million other small things. . . all amounted to a fantastic trip. Even the “non-riders” in our group had a wonderful time. And it goes without saying that I enjoyed the beauty that is Wyoming. Thanks to everyone at the Box "R" for making my vacation so memorable! S. R., Greenville, MI

Thank you for giving my family an experience that they will never forget.  My daughter April was absolutely delighted to be able to experience some of the true adventures on a working ranch.  Thank you for that. I am not fond of heights as you know, but getting to look at the beautiful scenery was just breath taking.  I watched each day all the horses with their young ones and learned a lot just by watching some of their different gestures to each other.  All of your staff are wonderful people.  They helped me feel right at home. This has been a Great and Wonderful experience for my family. My husband Darrell was absolutely impressed with his horse Padlock. I hope the Box "R" will continue for many years to come.  S. M., Magnolia, TX
